Genesis 17:1 And when
Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and
said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou
perfect. ::2 And I
will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee
exceedingly. : 3 And Abram
fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, :4 As for me, behold, my covenant
is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. :5 Neither shall thy name any more
be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many
nations have I made thee. : 6
And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of
thee, and kings shall come out of thee. :7 And I will establish my covenant between me
and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an
everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after
thee.
What I am trying to asstablish here in
this writing is the seed and seeds of Abraham. The
overcoming nation in Jesus Christ and the nations that through Jesus
Christ are joined to the overcomers those that dwell in Mout.
Zion. Revelation 14 :1 And I looked, and,
lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and
four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice
from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great
thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3 And they sung as it
were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the
elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and
four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are they
which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they
which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from
among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth
was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
The Seed, Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the
promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one,
And to thy seed, which is Christ.
The way I interpret the scriptures is that Jesus Christ is the
new Adam and His number is 8 the number of new beginings and all those
that are born of Him are new Creations with new beginings. Jesus
has a bride called the church and Jesus is her Husband. Through intimacy with one another
they produce children. It is the male seed that which impregnates
the female. Jesus is that seed the Word of God made flesh that by the
preaching the good news and recieving it into our hearts it begins
to grow and mature to produse the image of the Father. Gal.4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in
birth again until Christ be formed in you.
Now about the children of Abraham.
The first son Ishmael
Genesis 16;1
Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid,
an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.
3 And
Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had
dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband
Abram to be his wife. 4 And
he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had
conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes. this was the first
son of Abraham named Ishmael.
The second son Isaac.
Genesis 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear
thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will
establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with
his seed after him.
Gal.4:22 For it is
written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by
a freewoman. 23 But he
who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the
freewoman was by promise. 24
Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one
from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. 25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and
answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her
children. 26 But
Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. 27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren
that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for
the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. 28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the
children of promise.
I inserted the above scrpiture so
like Paul the Apostal confirming the promiced Seed.
More
Children, Jacob & Esau
Genesis 25:21 And these
are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac: 20
And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the
daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the
Syrian. 21 And Isaac
intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD
was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. 22 And the children struggled together within
her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire
of the LORD. 23 And the
LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of
people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be
stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. 24 And when her days to be delivered were
fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb. 25 And the first came out red, all over like
an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. 26 And after that came his brother out, and
his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and
Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.
Genesis 23:1 And Sarah
was an hundred and seven and twenty years old: these were the years of
the life of Sarah. 2 And Sarah
died in Kirjatharba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and
Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.
Genesis 25:1 Then again Abraham took a wife, and her
name was Keturah.
Six more sons by father Abraham. Genesis 25:2 And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. 3 And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And
the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim. 4 And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher,
and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of
Keturah.
Abraham
even had concubines
Genesis 25:6But unto the sons of the concubines, which
Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son,
while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.
Genesis
25;5 And Abraham
gave all that he had unto Isaac.
Genesis25:7 And these are the
days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, an hundred
threescore and fifteen years. 8 Then
Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and
full of years; and was gathered to his people.
Abraham was quite a man not
only in faith
toward God Amighty, but in reproducing children even in old age.
I would like to be likeJesus. I in Him and He in me to be good
ground to bare 100
fold, and that my fruit would remain and produce more fruit so that my
joy will be full and pleasing to Him who loved me and gave Himself for
me,
Gal.2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I
live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live
in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and
gave himself for me.
